Salesforce ships seven named Agentforce agents, putting Piper on inbound qualification today and Hunter on outbound pipeline in November
Piper is generally available for B2B inbound lead qualification now; Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is in pilot with GA targeted for November — giving small teams pre-built roles instead of blank-slate agent builds.
Salesforce introduced seven named, job-ready Agentforce agents on September 11, six of them generally available immediately and one, Hunter, in pilot with general availability targeted for November. The lineup gives Customer 360 accounts pre-built roles instead of a blank-slate agent build: Casey for service, Paige for IT and HR, Carter for shoppers, Marshall for supply chain, Piper for inbound pipeline, Fin for customer experience, and Hunter for outbound sales.
The framing is deliberate. Salesforce is done selling the primitives.
For a small B2B team on Salesforce, the two agents that matter today sit at opposite ends of the funnel. Piper takes inbound qualification, a job that historically requires either an SDR or a fragile automation chain. Hunter, when it ships, runs outbound from account research through outreach, and Salesforce says it “collaborates with sellers over weeks and months.” That long-horizon behavior rides on a new runtime with memory and durable execution, the first agent to use it.
The customer metrics arrive pre-packaged. Salesforce reports 60% of Perk’s sales pipeline built by Hunter. Asana’s Piper drives 4x conversation volume, with customers deploying Piper in 45 days on average. Engine’s Casey-based Eva resolves 50% of chat inquiries; Autism Queensland’s Paige clears 70% of admin requests; Hibbett AI, built on Carter, went live in six weeks and now handles 90% of core shopper journeys; Anthropic’s Fin resolves 79% of conversations autonomously. These are Salesforce-reported figures, not independently benchmarked.
Fin itself is a recent purchase. Salesforce announced the Intercom acquisition in June and closed it September 10 for roughly $3.6 billion, absorbing more than 30,000 customer companies and the Operator and Fin Apex models beneath the agent.
The commercial backdrop makes the packaging legible. Agentforce ARR exceeded $1.5 billion in Q2 FY27, up more than 240% year over year, on 3.2 billion Agentic Work Units in the quarter and 7 billion delivered to date. Multi-Agent Orchestration is GA now; AI Skills in Agentforce Coworker and Agent Optimizer enter GA in October. Salesforce recently embedded its CRM inside Anthropic’s Claude.
Naming the agents is the strategy. Roles sell where toolkits stalled.
